Carla Lips graduated in 2019 from Trinity College & University College Dublin in Sociology. Her master’s thesis was about the underlying mechanisms leading to environmentally-friendly action. It was a qualitative case-study done in Belgium. In 2020, she graduated from UCL in Economics. During that year, she became interested in Ecological Economics and her master’s thesis was a theoretical research about the implications for employment of a transition towards a post-growth society.
In 2020 she joined the BEST team for a PhD in Sociology concerning the social dimensions of the energy transition. The project’s main focus is on the analysis of the drivers of energy demand.
