Emmanuel De Jaeger

Emmanuel De Jaeger (UCLouvain) is professor of electrical power engineering since 2012, with a strong industrial background (more than twenty years of experience in an industrial R&D centre) and active in international standardization bodies (International Electrotechnical Commission).
Expertise and technical interests: electric energy, electric power systems, power quality, electrical machines, power electronics.
Current research topics include demand side management and electrical loads flexibility management, transient behaviour and stability of power systems with high penetration of renewable energy sources, interaction between power systems and power electronics converters, micro-grids control and protection (especially in the context of rural electrification in developing countries), Power Quality and EMC of smart grids.
