Laurent Bricteux (UMONS) is a professor in the field of energy conversion systems at the Faculty Engineering.
His research field mainly concerns numerical simulation of turbulent fluid flows (also reacting) applied to energy applications.
These applications include massively parallel large eddy simulation of wind and gas turbines flows as well as modeling of gas turbines cycles. Laurent Bricteux is currently teaching at UMONS turbomachinery basics, compressors, steam and gas turbines, internal combustion engines and turbulence. He is also a part-time professor at ECAM-Brussels engineering school where he is teaching fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
