Line Vanparys started her academic career with a degree in political science at UCLouvain, before continuing with a master’s degree in sociology. She did her master’s internship at the Institute of Language and Communication of UCLouvain. Her thesis focused on the theoretical weaknesses and policy implications of behavioural psychological models used to study climate change.

Line is now working as a PhD student: the aim of her thesis is to provide the BEST Energy project with insight into how energy demand is constructed and evolves, as it is considered a ‘black box’ in EnergyScope TD at the moment. More concretely, she focuses on the transport sector as it represents a significant part of the energy demand at Belgian level.
