Paola Starace graduated in Chemical Engineering at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (Italy) in 2021. She worked on her master thesis in the Clean Combustion Laboratory of Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, where she carried out experiments to investigate the inception step in the process of soot formation in a PFR reactor, starting from two different precursors. In October 2021 she joined the research group of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Technologies at Universidad de Zaragoza (Spain), where she carried out an experimental study on the impact of the use of ammonia on soot formation in ammonia-hydrocarbon mixtures.
Paola joined the BEST project in may 2022 with a PhD jointly hosted by UCLouvain and ULB. Her work will focus on the experimental and numerical characterization of e-fuels in advances combustion technologies.
